“The innovations we’ve made so far have happened because our teachers possess a growth mindset and always put the kids first.”
Hiawatha College Prep-Kingfield
Growing Learners. Growing Leaders.
Hiawatha College Prep-Kingfield (HCP-Kingfield or HCP-K) is part of Hiawatha Academies’ network of high performing college-preparatory schools focused on closing the opportunity gap in Minneapolis. Hiawatha Academies was founded by civic leaders, parents, educators and business people who want our scholars to receive an education that demands their best in behavior, attitude, and effort, and that challenges them to achieve to their highest potential.
HCP-Kingfield is a middle school serving 360 scholars in grades 5-8. Our scholars frequently out perform students at neighboring schools, as well as district and state averages.
We offer a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and excellent teaching practices to ensure maximum student growth. Throughout their four years students receive a core course load of science, English language arts, mathematics and elective classes including physical education, art, choir, and technology.
